Vibrating Troughs: Efficient Material Handling Solutions

Vibrating Troughs

Our vibrating troughs, with a maximum conveying distance of approximately 8 meters, are designed as free-vibrating machines consisting of elastically supported conveying troughs coupled to vibration motors or electromagnetic vibrators. Machined saddles on the drive ensure continuous, maintenance-free operation.
  • Description

Vibrating troughs, also known as vibratory trough conveyors or vibratory feeders, are equipment used to transport bulk materials or parts along a trough-shaped conveyor path. They utilize vibrations to move materials forward, backward, or in a controlled manner as required by the application.

Vibrating Troughs Advantages

Consist of high hygienic standard

Continuous operation with minimal maintenance

High capacity and easy to clean

Vibrating Troughs Working Principle

Trough Design: Vibrating troughs are typically made of stainless steel or other durable materials. They have a trough-shaped structure with a flat bottom and sloped sides.

Vibration Mechanism: Inside the trough, there are one or more vibratory motors or electromagnets attached to the base. These motors generate controlled vibrations that cause the trough to oscillate.

Material Movement: When the vibrations are applied, the bulk materials or parts placed on the trough start to move along the conveyor path. The amplitude and frequency of the vibrations can be adjusted to control the speed and direction of the material flow.

Orientation: Depending on the application, vibrating troughs can be designed to orient materials or parts in a specific direction. This is achieved by controlling the angle and intensity of the vibrations.

Discharge: At the end of the trough, there may be mechanisms such as chutes or gates to regulate the discharge of materials or parts onto another conveyor or processing equipment.

Vibrating Troughs Applications

Material Handling: Vibrating troughs are commonly used in industries such as mining, agriculture, and construction for transporting bulk materials such as aggregates, grains, powders, and granules.

Food Processing: In the food industry, vibrating troughs are employed for conveying ingredients, sorting, and aligning food products, and facilitating packaging processes.

Recycling: They are utilized in recycling facilities to transport and sort recyclable materials such as plastics, metals, and paper.

Automotive and Manufacturing: Vibrating troughs play a crucial role in assembly lines for conveying and orienting parts during assembly processes.

Pharmaceuticals: In pharmaceutical manufacturing, vibrating troughs are used for handling and processing bulk materials and pharmaceutical ingredients.
